The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report Friday ahead of their Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears.
The Birds eliminated one player: Reed Blankenship.
Blankenship missed practice this week while recovering from the knee injury he sustained in Week 14. Considering the Eagles didn’t put him on injured reserve, it seems they expect him to return in either Week 16 or Week 17.
Blankenship only played because CJ Gardner-Johnson went down in Week 12 with an injured kidney. With both guys out, the Eagles are left with a third starting option: K’Von Wallace.
Wallace hasn’t played well this year; He allows a passer rating of 154.2 when targeted. He was skipped on the depth chart by Blankenship, an undrafted rookie free agent, for a reason.
On the plus side, the Bears don’t exactly have a prolific pass attack (more on that below). Chicago runs the ball more than any other team. Wallace defends the run better than in cover.
The Eagles have some non-Wallace options that could expect to see game time, even if it’s just a rotating feature. Backup Nickel cornerback Josiah Scott has brought second-team security reps back to training camp so he can have some experience there. 2021 starter Anthony Harris is back with the team after being added back to the training squad earlier this week. The Eagles will likely use one of their two temporary raises on Harris to have him game day.
No other player with a game status has been listed in other injury news reports. These include Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson, who were less than 100% this week due to abdominal and back injuries respectively.
Dallas Goedert is not included in the Eagles’ latest injury report because he is not yet on the roster. But he appears primed to be activated by IR before 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. Philly’s offense is hardly completely lost without him, but they’ll be glad to have him back.

RESERVE/HURT
EN Derek Barnett
S CJ Gardner-Johnson
TE Dallas Goedert (designated to return)
Parryn Siposs
DT Marlon Tuipulotu
EN Robert Quinn
Barnett is out for the year due to the nature of his ACL injury. CJGJ is recovering from an injured kidney and won’t be able to return until week 17 at the earliest. Goedert is eligible to return in Week 15 and there appears to be a good chance he will play after his 21-day training window opens. Siposs will miss at least the rest of the regular season due to an ankle injury. Tuipulotu is out for the year due to his knee injury. Quinn is struggling with a knee injury and won’t be able to return until week 18 at the earliest.
TO RESERVE/PHYSICALLY INSUFFICIENT
T/G Brett Toth
The Eagles have yet to activate Toth’s 21-day training window.
CHICAGO BEARS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
The Bears have several key players in IR: lead running back Khalil Herbert, lead receiver Darnell Mooney, starting safety Eddie Jackson and starting interior offensive lineman Lucas Patrick.
Not only will the Bears miss these guys, but they’ll be without the start of wide receiver Chase Claypool. And so you are left with the following WR options:
- Calm St. Brown: 280 yards, 1 TD
- Dante Pettis: 202 yards, 2 TD
- N’Keal Harry: 93 yards, 1 TD
- Byron Pringle: 57 yards, 1 TD
- Velus Jones Jr.: 24 yards, 1 TD
On paper, it’s a huge disparity in Philly’s favor that these guys are up against the Eagles’ secondary.
The Bears decided that offensive lineman Larry Borom, who started earlier this year and has provided depth ever since, is doubtful to play.
The aforementioned N’Keal Harry is doubtful to play despite being a full participant in practice throughout the week. Ditto for cornerback Kindle Vildor.
