Eagles Injury Report: Miles Sanders, DeVonta Smith and Darius Slay Among Upgraded Players

The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report Thursday ahead of their Week 4 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Two players missed practice for the second straight day: AJ Brown and Boston Scott.

Brown dropped out again for personal reasons. word is that Brown’s partner is about to give birth to their second child (if she hasn’t already).

Scott is at risk of being inactive for this week’s game after missing two practice sessions with a rib injury. If that’s the case, the Eagles could be looking to keep Trey Sermon behind Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell as the RB3 for the first time all season.

Three players were listed as LIMITED participants: Landon Dickerson, Avonte Maddox and Milton Williams.

Dickerson was upgraded to Limited after not training on Wednesday. positive sign. Seems he has a chance to start on the left.

Maddox is new to the injury report. One would hope his injury isn’t too serious as he’s out of control. He is also tasked with temporarily guarding Jaguar’s lead receiver, Christian Kirk.

Williams was limited for the second straight day. He seems to be urging to play.

Three players were upgraded to FULL participation: Miles Sanders, DeVonta Smith, and Darius Slay.

Sanders and Smith were listed as restricted on Wednesday while Slay missed practice. Despite being injured, they are ready to play against the Jaguars.

Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, Isaac Seumalo and Josh Sweat were all removed from the injury report after being listed as restricted with residual designations on Wednesday. As expected.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)

Significant addition to the Jags’ injury record: starting wide receiver Zay Jones. He was unable to train due to an ankle injury. Jones is second in Jacksonville for goals and yards but leads the team with 19 receptions. The Jags aren’t exactly loaded at the receiver, so his absence would benefit the Eagles.

Elsewhere, starting cornerback Shaquill Griffin was again restricted. Wonder if he could be a season decision. Backup guard Cole Van Lanen missed practice for the second straight day.
