Let’s move on to the Philadelphia Eagles links…
NFL Free Agent News 2022 for All 32 Teams: Key Moves, Deals Failed, Executive Responses, Latest Intelligence, and What’s Next – ESPN+
The Eagles have looked at several high-level pass-catching options this off-season, including Calvin Ridley of the Falcons and Robert Woods of the Rams through a trade. They can still count on help – free agent Jarvis Landry would be a great addition to DeVonte Smith and Kes Watkins – but signing Zach Pascal for one year is a tricky move. He had a poor year in 2021 that hurt his value, but he recorded back-to-back 600-yard seasons with Indy in 2019 and 2020 with Nick Sirianni as offensive coordinator. Pascal was considered a rising player, but for some reason he didn’t work well with Carson Wentz in Indianapolis. The Eagles have big plans for him as he can play outdoors or in the slot as a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver.

The Eagles are among “several teams” interested in a DeVante Parker trade, according to Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson. Jackson says it’s “unclear what the dolphins will do to him.”
On the catwalk: WR Zach Pascal on signing with the Eagles and his relationship with Nick Sirianni – BGN Radio
Eagles new WR Zach Pascal spoke to Philadelphia media on Thursday afternoon about signing with the Eagles, his relationship with Nick Sirianni, and more.
Are the Eagles stuck with Rigor for another year? – NBCSP
The problem is, if the Eagles let Reagor go, he’ll count $7.84 million in dead money against their 2022 salary cap. Because he has a cap of $3.62 million, he will account for just over $4.22 million more than their cap if they cut it than if they leave it. If they wait until the end of 2022, then the money won will be exactly the same as his cap figure for 2023, which is perfect. But that’s in a year.
NFC East 2022 Free Agent Ratings: Washington Commanders Edition – PhillyVoice
On paper, Wentz’s stats in 2021 looked decent enough as he threw 27 TDs to 7 INTs, but an eye test showed he looked very much like the 2019 version of himself, with occasional streaks of the 2020 version. From time to time he made spectacular shots, but his moments of encouragement were overshadowed by his continued inability to make “easy” throws. With a 9-6 record heading into the final two games of the 2021 regular season, the Colts were on the verge of making the playoffs and only needed one win over the Las Vegas Raiders or the Jacksonville Jaguars to make it to the Finals. . postseason. Instead, largely due to a couple of poor performances by Wentz, the Colts lost both games and were eliminated. The Jaguars Week 18 loss was especially devastating as Wentz completed 17 of 29 passes for 185 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT, though the numbers don’t adequately convey how ineffective he was. He also lost a fumble in the vintage play Wentz 2020 in which he tried to throw a shovel instead of just eating a sack.
NFL Trading Estimates: Deshawn Watson, Russell Wilson, Davante Adams, Tyreke Hill Move Estimate – NFL.com
Washington looks desperate. After failing to trade Russell Wilson, the Commanders quickly settled for a question-laden quarterback. Washington also agreed to pay Wentz an absurd price of $28 million for 2022, forcing the team to turn around and release a group of veterans. I just don’t see the entire Wentz experience as an upgrade over the much less expensive Taylor Heinicke.
Free will: commanders continue to re-sign their contracts, and Cornelius Lucas rejoins the team on a two-year contract – Hogs Haven
While I’m not going to say this is a wrong figure, I’m guessing it’s not actually a $4.1 million a year deal; rather, I suspect it includes start and/or scoring bonuses, which means Lucas could earn more if he plays more. Lucas’ last contract with the team was for 2 years for a total of $3.7 million. His cap in 2021 was $2 million. I find it hard to believe the team has more than doubled his salary when he is expected to double as starting left tackle Charles Leno and prospective starting right tackle sophomore Sam Cosmey.
Dallas Cowboys may already be giving up free will in 2022
However, looking at both the history of the team and the progression of free agents, there is no sign that Dallas will want to do more than they can with cap space at their fingertips. They certainly aren’t going after any free agent who wants to buy another team. While something could happen at any moment, we may see the staff more or less just sit back for a while before signing the last few players to prepare for the draft. This will allow them to acquire these players at the lowest possible price. They won’t be very good, but Steven Jones has made it very clear that the Cowboys aren’t going to turn to free agents for a significant upgrade. It’s just plugging holes. They don’t hesitate to part ways with their free agent signups at training camp. In a sense, this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. They haven’t invested too much in the players so they don’t sacrifice anything by releasing them.
NFL Betting 2022: Divisional Futures Review After First Wave of Free Agents – PFF
The Cowboys were closer to -160 the last time we did this, but the markets have soured on them since they got rid of Amari Cooper, La’Elle Collins and others. Interestingly, the Giants’ chances of a division title have risen along with their divisional counterparts. At 9-1 they were probably a value, as I think a 13-2 would have been more fair.
Where are they now? S Sean Considine – PE.com
Sean Considine was not allowed to leave during the 2005 NFL Draft. The Eagles wanted it and got it. “I was just really happy and glad that I was selected in the draft. Although I wanted to play in the NFL, I never knew if that would be a realistic goal for me,” says Considine. “I will never forget the morning that (then head coach of Philadelphia) Andy Reed called me. They had the first round four pick they traded and Andy got me on the phone about five minutes before their pick was put in and kept me in touch in case anything crazy happened with the trade. My parents, family and friends who were in the house just love it. And getting the chance to play for a legendary franchise like the Philadelphia Eagles and a great coaching staff like the one that was there was a great opportunity.” A walker at the University of Iowa, an All-Big Ten free safety honorary mention, and an academic All-American as a senior, Considine had the opportunity to learn even more as a freshman.
Jaguars breaking the WR market have a strong impact on the NFL – SB Nation
First it was Davante Adams, then Tyreke Hill. In 2021, they were second and third in the NFL in receptions, respectively, which was vital to offending the top two teams in the NFL. Now they are gone, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have played a huge role. On Wednesday, the Chiefs announced they were trading Tyreke Hill to the Dolphins in exchange for five picks, including Miami’s 2022 first-round pick. It came a week after the Packers traded Davante Adams to the Raiders for another set of picks. Adams signed a five-year, $141.5 million contract. Hill got his money’s worth too, landing a record four-year, $120 million deal that makes him the highest paid wide receiver in NFL history. Both should thank the Jaguars.
