Ears cut off, feet burned, torture by simulated drowning: a victim of the “Pic” Turmel gang experienced a long night of horror

Ears cut off, feet burned, torture by simulated drowning: a man, two weeks old, experienced a true night of horror at the hands of sympathizers of kingpin Dave “Pic” Turmel.

The Journal obtained numerous shocking details about the events that occurred in Montmagny and Saint-Malachie in Chaudière-Appalaches on February 18-19.

The man, whose identity we do not want to reveal for security reasons, is one of the many victims of the conflict between “Pic” and the Capitale-Nationale Hells Angels over control of drug sales.

On Sunday evening he was invited to visit a home in Montmagny with acquaintances connected to the Blood Mafia Family (BFM), Turmel's gang.

He had no idea that he was falling straight into a trap, even though he had recently decided to end his “business relationship” with the BFM. This obviously displeased the gang.

The man was initially severely beaten before being forcibly taken to another house, where at least three BFM sympathizers seized him and tortured him, using techniques worthy of Mexican drug cartels.

Water torture

In the hours that followed, he was beaten several times and was also the victim of an escalation of incredibly severe physical abuse.

According to our information, the victim suffered “at least” three episodes of waterboarding, a water torture method. She had to hold her head under water while a cloth was stuffed into her mouth, preventing her from breathing.

The attackers then doused his feet with gasoline and then set them on fire. According to our sources, they repeated this ordeal “several times” by putting out the flames “with their boots.”

The victim then lost consciousness under severe pain.

When she woke up a few hours later, she found herself 80 kilometers away, in the middle of a barn in St-Malachie, in Beauce.

It was at this exact location that a major police operation took place on February 19th.

“Cut precisely”

Another hostage, Stéphane Boutin, 51, was also tied up there. The Journal also revealed last week that his uncle, who is in his 70s, was brutally beaten by members of the BFM.

At gunpoint, with his arms and feet tied, the man kidnapped in Montmagny was then “cut open” between each toe and then under the soles of his feet, already suffering severe burns.

However, according to our information, the victim managed to escape from the barn before being caught by his attackers.

Both ears cut off

Far from being at the end of her suffering, she finally suffered the unimaginable. The attackers, who were “at least” two of them and wore hoods, cut off both of his ears.

A video showing a similar, equally disturbing scene was also released last week by our Bureau of Investigation.

In the hours that followed, Boutin managed to free himself from the bonds that held him prisoner and asked neighbors for help.

The victim was still on site and was treated by emergency services.

33 arrests

Recall that this violent hostage situation claimed the life of 29-year-old Patrick Martin, who had recently joined Dave “Pic” Turmel’s group.

Nine people were arrested last week in connection with the events in Montmagny and Saint-Malachie. They are accused of various crimes, including kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault.

According to our police sources, more arrests could be made soon.

The “Pic” Turmel gang has increased its violence in recent weeks, particularly through the torture and mutilation of Hells Angels sympathizers. To calm the situation, the police launched Operation Scandalous, in which they have arrested a total of 33 people so far.
