The EastEnders set was lit up by Christmas lights on Wednesday night as filming began on the dramatic murder spree.
Viewers of the soap already know that a character will meet their end over the holidays when they announced a flash-forward back in February.
The shocking scenes featured Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) standing over a mysterious body.
And this week Walford was transformed as a large tree and festive lights appeared in the middle of the square.
In front of the famous Queen Vic, two large nutcrackers stand in front of the pub doors.

Who could it be? Viewers of the soap already know that a character will meet their end over the holidays when they announced a flash-forward back in February
EastEnders has announced a big reveal in its Christmas episode where viewers will find out the identity of the body from The Vic.
The BBC soap made history with an episode in February when it gave a teaser but kept the identity of the body and killer secret.
It will be over three months before fans find out who the victim of the Christmas murder is. However, some viewers believe they are one step closer to discovery.
Going by this week’s episode so far, soap fans believe that it will be Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) who will fall prey to the murderer.
Previously, fans were convinced that it would be Ian Beale who died this Christmas.
Ian – played by Adam Woodyatt – made a big return to the BBC soap this summer when he arrived in Walford with his wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
Since then, fans have been wondering who the body was that lay on the floor of the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
But this week’s scenes were full of drama as Suki upped the ante to bring Ravi down.

When the two met at The Albert, Suki wanted to record Ravi’s confession when he admitted to killing his adoptive father Ranveer Gulati.
But a sudden call from prison jeopardized her securing the evidence she needed when she received news that her imprisoned son Kheerat (Jaz Deol) had been beaten up.
It turned out that Ravi had staged the attack, but Suki was undeterred by his threats and went to speak to Ravi’s former lover Denise for help, but she refused out of fear for her safety and her family.
Fans took to Twitter after the episode to share their theories as they suspected that Ravi will meet his end in December.
One wrote: “Ravi is definitely dead on Christmas,” while another agreed: “Ravi will be the one to die on Christmas, it has to be.”
Another tweeted: “I’m MAD.” I want Ravi on the floor for Christmas. You think Suki will let this go.’
A fourth added: “Ravi making Kheerat break her leg just to punish Suki is beyond cruel, she’s almost on the verge of collapse.”
“Ravi broke Kheerat’s legs because Suki tried to record a confession. Nasty piece of work. I hope either Ravi or Nish is on the floor (for Christmas). “Either would be an excellent twist,” wrote another.
But not everyone believes that it will be Ravi, as others suspected Nish, Keanu or Theo.

Whodunnit? In the shocking scenes, Denise, Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey and Suki were seen standing over a mysterious body
One viewer wrote: “If Nish, Theo, Keanu, Ian and maybe Peter are the bodies on Christmas Day then it will be a very merry Christmas.”
Soap boss Chris revealed back in February that plans for the epic crime drama have been in the works for more than a year, as he revealed glimpses of what’s to come from the six scorned women in the spotlight.
Of Suki, he said: “As the year progresses, Suki will uncover truths and test her relationships, but ultimately her biggest secret could push her to the extreme.”
Viewers will have to wait almost four more months to see exactly what unfolds in the Christmas episode, with each of the women and men in their lives experiencing dramatic storylines that explain the night’s drama.
