The 32-year-old singer was on some time off after his Las Vegas show scheduled for Saturday was canceled. During the wedding, the Bad Habits singer performed a brand new romantic ballad, which will appear on his upcoming album Autumn Variations.
The Brit shared a clip from the special day on Instagram, revealing this title for the first time. “I crashed a wedding,” he wrote in the caption, adding: “it’s Magical”, which means “magical” in French, but by choosing a capital letter he therefore revealed the title of this new song: “Magical” .
According to the video, the couple was saying their vows when Ed Sheeran entered the chapel with his guitar and backing singers. After performing the track, the Grammy winner hugged the couple, who thanked him for his performance before ending their wedding vows with a kiss.
Ed Sheeran not only attended the wedding, but also signed the couple’s official marriage certificate as best man.
“I am very pleased to be your witness,” he said as he signed the deed.
Ed Sheeran was scheduled to perform at Allegiant Stadium in Sin City on Saturday, but he canceled the concert less than an hour before it began due to technical problems setting up the show. Autumn Variations will be released on September 29th.
