Then, in early 2022, many things changed in my life, my mental health and ultimately my vision for music and art,” Ed Sheeran wrote on social media.

The National’s Aaron Dessner, whom he met through Taylor Swift, is Ed Sheeran’s writing and producing partner on Subtract. The 14-song CD is described as a folk album with orchestral arrangements.
