EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Edie Campbell’s model look is scarred after she was kicked in the face by a horse

Top model Edie Campbell is such a keen rider that she once won the Magnolia Cup at Glorious Goodwood. But she has just been painfully reminded of how dangerous this sport can be.

“I was kicked in the face and shoulder by a horse last week,” reveals Edie, 33, the daughter of Old Etonian Roddy Campbell and architect Sophie Hicks. “I had to undergo emergency plastic surgery.”

She shared pictures of her post-surgery results. “Thanks to my surgeon, I came away with a cute little scar,” she says. “I had the most puffy, wobbly face for a while.”

Jack gets scary in Famous Five

Attention children – the BBC’s “reinvention” of Enid Blyton’s The Famous Five features a character inspired by notorious occultist Aleister Crowley, I can reveal.

The BBC’s “reimagining” of Enid Blyton’s The Famous Five features a character inspired by notorious occultist Aleister Crowley

The brave adventurers return on Saturday with a “modern and exciting” take on the classic stories. In the opening episode, Game Of Thrones star Jack Gleeson plays Wentworth, an unscrupulous antiques dealer who is after a treasure discovered by the gang. “He’s pretty dark and desperate to get what he wants, which is power,” says Gleeson. “It’s very important for Wentworth to travel to different realms in his mind.” “He’s very spiritual and mystical, a bit like an Aleister Crowley-type character.”

The magician and occultist Crowley, who died in 1947, was dubbed the “most evil man in the world” after the wife of one of his students attributed her husband’s death to his drinking the blood of a sacrificed cat. Watch out, Timmy the dog!

Birthday girl Jade celebrates parties like in the 70s

The hedonistic 1970s New York nightclub Studio 54, where Sir Mick Jagger’s ex-wife Bianca was photographed riding a white horse on the dance floor, relocated to the Cotswolds at the weekend.

Fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper, whose country label Holland Cooper is loved by the Princess of Wales, celebrated her 37th birthday with a Studio 54-inspired party.

White horses were even printed on the walls of the £50million mansion she shares with her husband, Superdry co-founder Julian Dunkerton, 58, and their two children. The designer was joined by friends such as fashionista Victoria Magrath, the Marchioness of Bath aka Emma Weymouth, James Bond actress Naomie Harris and her life coach Jade.

Czech out Helena!

Helena Bonham Carter agreed to star in James Hawes’ new World War II film One Life, partly because it is set in Hampstead, near her home in north London.

But then she learned that the majority of the film would be shot in the Czech Republic. “James came along and said, ‘You were born to play this – and it’s the future,'” she says at a West End screening.

“Very practical,” I thought. In fact, we finished filming in Prague. We did one day in Hampstead.’

Some joked that Omid Scobie couldn’t even lie straight in bed, but a more forensic analysis of his detective and imaginative talents comes from Philip Eade, author of Young Prince Philip: His Turbulent Early Life.

'[Scobie]

‘[Scobie] “He doesn’t seem to have spoken to anyone who knows the people he claims to know about,” Eade tells Richard Eden at a party they both attended

“Aside from maybe the Sussexes, [Scobie] “Doesn’t seem to have spoken to anyone who knows the people he claims to know about,” Eade tells me at the party held at Lady Amabel Lindsay’s home in Notting Hill to promote the new book, Soldiers Don’t Go Mad” to celebrate correspondent Charles Glass.

“If you look at the acknowledgments [of Scobie’s book]“There is no one who even comes close to working with the royal family,” says Eade. “None of his sources are mentioned. Surprise surprise.’

When Rupert Murdoch was seen jetting off at the weekend with the woman rumored to be his fifth wife and eight cases of wine from his own winery, there was speculation about what he would be celebrating.

This could be the answer: I heard that the media tycoon just became a great-grandfather. His eldest grandson, James MacLeod, had a daughter, Oona, with his partner, whose name is not known.

James is the eldest son of Prue, Murdoch’s daughter with his first wife, model Patricia Booker.

Rupert, 92, who retired as News Corp boss in September, was pictured with retired scientist Elena Zhukova, 66, at a private jet airport in LA.
