Ramón, the grandfather of the Cuban singer El Chacal, died in Miami after arriving in that city last February thanks to a humanitarian parole.

The news was announced on the networks by the Cuban artists’ page, which called it “sad news for all Jackal supporters.”

“The jackal’s grandfather just died this morning. My sincerest condolences. “Everyone remembers that it was the man that El Chacal took out of Cuba on humanitarian parole three months ago,” they add.

The first expressions of condolence were not long in coming.

In February, Ramón had arrived in Miami with six other members of the artist’s family.

His mother, his grandparents, his aunt, his cousin and her husband, and their son arrived in Miami.

A few weeks later, the artist showed on his networks that Ramón was one of the most important people in his life. The singer gave his grandfather a nice surprise by showing him the carpentry shop that was built in this city in his honor.

With “La Carpintería Martínez”, the name of the place that also bears his grandfather’s surname, the reggaeton player wants to keep his legacy and his profession alive.

Images of El Chacal and Ramón’s site visit were posted on the company’s Instagram profile.

In the videos, the man could be seen admiring every detail and touching the wood while his grandson followed him with pride and joy on his face.

For this special occasion, the two wore matching white T-shirts with Ramón’s face on the front, which also represents the carpentry logo, and the sign “Martínez Carpenter”.

The artist once explained that he opened this shop in honor of his grandfather, who raised the whole family as a carpenter and joiner.
