More representation: In the first version, seven white women were the protagonists. The adaptation cast two black actresses: Késia and Thalita Carauta. Maria Clara Spinelli is the country’s first trans woman to star in a soap opera. Finally, what is the story of the series? Lara (Deborah Secco), Taís (Késia), Helena (Isabel Teixeira), Adriana (Thalita Carauta), Renée (Maria Clara Spinelli), Natália (Mariana Santos) and Carol (Karine Teles), who met at an English course, are separated after a sad event during a trip: the mysterious death of Bruno, Natália’s brother.
25 years later, Lara finds a photo of the group and decides to bring them together at her home. But the moment that should be happy brings back old hurts and great revelations. During this reunion, for example, Taís discovers that her great love Átila (Sergio Guizé), whom she believed to be a good man, is actually Lara’s husband. And the opening track? Globo will retain the song “Elas por Elas,” a hit by the group The Fevers, as the opening theme of the adaptation. The singers Preta Gil, Ivete Sangalo and Duda Beat will be responsible for the new recording of the song, which will be more modern and in line with the lyrics of the new version of “Elas por Elas”.
Who is who?
Deborah Secco plays an intelligent, goodnatured Dondoca who knows exactly what she wants. She gave up her career as a lawyer when she married lawyer Átila (Sergio Guizé). But her husband dies while meeting his mistress and she decides to hire Mário Fofoca (Lázaro Ramos) to find out who the woman was with whom she was cheated on.
