Electric Inspiration Center: Kia Force invests $7.5 million in Quebec City

Groupe La Force Kia, which includes dealerships Kia Québec, Kia Ste-Foy and Kia Val-Bélair, has just unveiled the country’s first Electric Inspiration Center.

Open since April 17, the 10,000-square-foot building adjacent to KIA Ste-Foy houses the Center for Electrical Inspiration, the Kia Force Academy and a massive mechanical workshop.

A fleet of 14 Kia electric vehicles is also available for test drives by appointment. No vehicle is sold on site.

New facility

With this start-up, the dealer group offers a test drive shop to inspire the public, inform customers and train their teams for electric vehicles.

“Knowing that everyone in Quebec is looking for a place to test an electric vehicle, we have decided to create this center that will permanently offer Kia’s full electric, PHEV or hybrid range and answer all questions related to the Public answered without pressure,” said Serge Beaudoin, President of Force Kia.

This inspiration center is therefore not a car dealership or point of sale, but a center for learning and understanding how to drive electrically.

inauguration

The official inauguration of these new facilities will take place on May 24th in the presence of a delegation from Kia Canada.

In 2023, 15% of Kia’s sales in the country will be PHEV or hybrid electric vehicles, and that number is expected to hit the 25% threshold in the coming years.

Kia Force currently offers a range of six hybrid and electric vehicles on the market.

For Steeve Michel and Serge Beaudoin, co-owners of La Force Kia and founders of the Center for Electric Inspiration, the creation of this space “represents a huge step towards the future for the Quebec region and for Quebec as a whole to own this unique place in the country to.” inform, inspire and offer test drives.”

Electric vehicle registrations in Quebec now stand at 170,592 in the first quarter of 2023. Last year, 41,993 more vehicles were on the road. The government’s goal is 1.6 million electric vehicles in Quebec by the end of 2030.
