Electrical discharge in community pool in Colombia knocks four people unconscious

Two adults and two children have been rescued after being electrocuted in a swimming pool of a condominium in the city of Neiva, in the province of Huíla, Colombia, last Tuesday the 10th.
The two minors, aged 8 and 11, and an adult were swimming when the discharge occurred. They were inconsistent after the shock. The condo’s lifeguard dove into the water to save her, but also ended up electrocuted.
Then the other residents of the condominium helped the 4 people. A video circulating on social media shows the moment of the rescue. The fire brigade was triggered and took the injured to a hospital in the region. Hours later they were released.

“So far, what is known is that the enclosure was electrified, so that area was out of service pending an inspection,” Elmer Pérez, commander of the Neiva Fire Department, told El Tiempo newspaper.
