Eleven Mexican Supermarket Products Worth Trying

Mexico is a world power in gastronomy. In few countries is the food as tasty, cheerful and exuberant as there. Mexican restaurants abound throughout the western world, and a taco, quesadilla, nachos, or burrito (the last two aren’t very Mexican, more Tex-Mex) are as familiar to us as a potato tortilla. In Spanish homes, however, we usually stick to the standard guacamole served with some sad tortilla chips.

A good way to open horizons is to visit a store specializing in Mexican products. To immerse yourself in this jungle comes this new installment of the series Lost in the supermarket, which in previous episodes has already visited Chinese, Moroccan and Italian restaurants. Our guide is Juan Pescador, a very Mexican chef from the Metl project who you may remember for his Birria recipe. He told us about 11 products from the María La Bonita store in Barcelona and showed us how to use them. Everything in the video above.
