Summer’s words came after Elizabeth broke her silence on the death of her ex-fiancé Shane, writing: “I feel like the sun has gone behind a cloud forever. Rest in peace my beloved Lionheart @shanewarne23.”

Warne, who died suddenly of a heart attack during a “boys’ holiday,” told ABC host Lee Sales in 2018 that he wanted to “get better” when he dated Elizabeth back in 2010.

Shane and Elizabeth first met in late 2010 before he questioned actress Austin Powers in September 2011, but unfortunately they broke up in 2013.

He said of the novel in 2018, “Who knows what the future holds. There is a difference between falling in love with someone and loving someone. I will always love Elizabeth, but I don’t think we’ll be together again.”

Warne’s words came after he called his romance with Elizabeth “the happiest time of my life.”

The cricketer recalled his romance with Elizabeth, saying: “When we were together, we both had a great time. Unfortunately it didn’t work.

“It wasn’t something she or I did wrong, it just fizzled out.

“We are still good friends, we still keep in touch, we are good to each other and our kids get along great.”

Warne tragically died on Friday at the age of 52 while vacationing with his friends in Koh Samui, Thailand. He died “of natural causes,” the autopsy concluded.

Four friends who were staying with Shane fought for his life for 20 minutes after he was found unconscious in a villa at their resort on Koh Samui.

Thai police said he was staying at the villa with four friends, and when around 5:00 pm local time, one of them tried to wake Shane to eat, he did not respond.

Shane’s manager separately confirmed his death, stating that the father of three cannot be revived.

His state funeral at the Melbourne Cricket Ground is expected to take place on Wednesday 30 March.

‘No words, it feels like I’m dreaming’: Summer Warne’s full heartbreaking statement

There are no words. It feels like I’m sleeping, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re all right. This can’t be real life. It can’t be that life is so cruel to the most beautiful people on this earth. There’s no way I’ll ever hear your small voice again telling me “everything will be fine” or how “proud” you are of me or just saying “good night” or “good morning S.J., see you in the morning” , I love you…”.

Moments before the world took you from me, we jammed to “Summer of ’69” and “I had the best time of my life.” Talking about how much you love this song and seeing your smile light up the whole room as we danced and couldn’t stop laughing at each other. God, you made me laugh, dad. I didn’t know that was the last time I saw you, dad.

I will do anything to hear that laugh again, anything to hear your voice, anything to hold you for once, anything to be with you again one last time. I wish that in your last moments before you go to heaven and before you take your last breath, I could tell you that everything will be fine and hold your hand and tell you how much I I love you and respect you. I took our time for granted, dad, and I would do anything to spend more time with you on this earth.

Our time has been stolen and I want you back to me. You may not be alive anymore, dad, but you will always live in my heart, I will cherish the memories until my time on this earth is up and I will be reunited with you again. I love you dad forever and will always be my Father wherever you are. Love your little girl SJ and I will continue to make you proud.
