ELLEN DEGENERES 037 1

Ellen DeGeneres is giving out ‘millions’ of bonuses to employees at the end of the show

DeGeneres by name, generous by nature.

Ellen, 64, is giving away “millions of dollars” in bonuses to her employees, according to The Post.

The final episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will air on May 26, and a source told The Post on Wednesday that “Ellen and [production company] Warner Bros. worked together to take care of each person.”

The exact seven-figure amount that will be distributed among the employees was not disclosed, but the source said: “For Ellen, it was not even a question of paying bonuses … It was very important for her.”

The insider added that the host has “been incredibly generous” to the staff ever since the show started back in 2003.

This came after allegations of “toxic” culture on the set of a popular program. These claims appeared back in 2020, prompting DeGeneres to apologize on live television for not being aware of the alleged issues surrounding her production.

However, according to Deadline, a “significant proportion” of its employees are “old-timers.” About 30 percent of the show’s employees have worked there for over ten years.

Meanwhile, it looks like DeGeneres has been squandering her staff during her final season. Back in September, a source told The Post that she was “giving gifts to everyone, including trips, watches, cars.”

Deadline also reports that employees have received letters confirming that Warner Bros. plans to extend coverage for six months after the end of the program.

Employees were also given access to resume writing and networking workshops, according to the publication.

Meanwhile, DeGeneres is recruiting a long list of best-of-breed buddies to appear on the program for the last time.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as Channing Tatum, Serena Williams, Zac Efron and Adam Levine will return to the show in the next two months.

Diane Keaton, Kim Kardashian and DeGeneres’ own wife Portia de Rossi are also expected to appear.
