“The last 11 days have been really tough for everyone,” Ellen DeGeneres said in a video posted to her social media on Friday. “Everybody’s hurting and trying to make sense of it and we’ll never find out.”
Ellen DeGeneres choked back tears in her first public video statement since the death of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, her friend and colleague on her talk show.
To pay tribute to him, “the best we can do is laugh and hug, play games, dance and sing,” the host said emotionally.
“It seems impossible, but this is how we honor him,” she added. “And kiss and say we love each other and let people know we’re here for them and reach out to people.”
Stephen “tWitch” Boss, 40, allegedly took his own life with a gun. The DJ worked on the Ellen DeGeneres show from 2014 to 2022 and was named producer in 2020.
