As expected, an interesting debut at the 79th Venice Film Festival. Elodie enters the world of cinema in “Ti mangio il cuore” by Pippo Mezzapesa (currently working on the set of the series, the director’s first, about the case of Sarah Scazzi), competing in the “Horizons” section. The singer, who doesn’t feel like a diva, actually she doesn’t exist anymore, talks about her first nude scene on the set: “No embarrassment. I’ve always had a peaceful relationship with my body. A breast is a breast. I have it like them, we have different glands. I thought about the possibility of having an acting experience for a while, but I was waiting for the magic, something that would come my way. I fell in love with this project, on my part it was presumptuous to accept it, but it was a deep opportunity for me, far from what I do ». He doesn’t limit himself to the Elodie cinema and also answers political questions: “I already know who I’m going to vote for. I also know who not to vote for. Hillary Clinton said a wife is a good thing? I do not agree. The only merit of Meloni is that it is destined ». The Gargano promontory, scorched by sun and hate, is fought over by criminals who seem to come from a distant time when the law of the strongest prevailed. An archaic land of the far west, where blood washes with blood. Rekindling an old feud between two rival families is a forbidden love: that between Andrea (Francesco Patanè), reluctant heir to the Malatesta family, and Marilena (Elodie), the beautiful wife of the Camporeale boss. A fatal passion that brings clans back to war. But Marilena, banished by the Camporeale and prisoner of the Malatesta, will, disputed and outraged, defy with the strength of a mother a destiny already written. “Starting with such a complex role isn’t for everyone, it was brave,” said director Pippo Mezzapesa, “but I can say a diva was born.” The cast is completed by Tommaso Ragno, Francesco Di Leva, Michele Placido and Brenno Placido. “I eat your heart” will be released in cinemas on September 22nd with 01 distribution and on the new platform Paramount+ in 2023.
