Twitter and Meta bosses Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg challenged each other on their social media, inviting each other to compete physically in a martial arts-style cage.
Shortly after Elon Musk took over Twitter, Meta, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook, announced plans to launch a similar text-based social platform that would directly compete with Twitter.
Since that announcement, the Tesla founder has multiplied messages on Twitter against Mark Zuckerberg.
The climax came a few days ago when Elon Musk wrote on his account, “I’m ready for a cage fight lol,” referring to the cage where MMA fights are fought.

Mark Zuckerberg, who is a martial artist himself and posts fight videos, responded on Instagram on Wednesday with a screenshot of Elon Musk’s message, followed by the words “send me the location.”

The swap drew backlash on social media as well as betting on the potential winner, with Mark Zuckerberg emerging as the clear favorite.
In an interview with AFP, Meta confirmed the authenticity of Mark Zuckerberg’s message.
The two tech giants have been at odds for years over their opposing worldviews, from politics to artificial intelligence. But the animosity between them has only intensified with the arrival of a possible direct competitor for Twitter.
Elon Musk bought the social network for $44 billion before conducting massive layoffs at the company and reopening the platform to conspiratorial accounts, resulting in significant losses in ad revenue.
However, the Tesla boss, who was in Paris a few days ago on the occasion of the Paris Viva Tech international fair, indicated that advertising revenues had returned.
