Elon Musk Puts This Emoji Response On Twitter For All Press Inquiries

Elon Musk puts this emoji response on Twitter for all press inquiries

Elon Musk took over Twitter in October last year after a $44 billion deal.

Elon Musk announced on Sunday that journalists who contact Twitter’s press department will be greeted with a single poop emoji. On the microblogging site, Mr. Musk shared a little insight into the company’s new auto-reply system.

[email protected] will now auto-reply as well [emoji]’ Mr Musk tweeted.

A number of Twitter users took to the comments to confirm the new reply system, and many posted screenshots of their email replies. “I hope to see in each subsequent article, ‘we reached out to Twitter for a comment on who made the statement.'[emoji]'” wrote one user.

“I just sent a test email to [email protected] and got a message [emoji] in the subject line. Marketers will be writing about this for years to come lol #disruptivemarketing,” said another. “Believe it or not, that’s what excellence looks like,” the third jokingly commented.

Elon Musk took over Twitter in October last year after a $44 billion deal. He had bought the microblogging site on the promise of promoting freedom of expression and has since allowed journalists, including independent journalist Matt Taibbi, to post their findings on freedom of expression violations in lengthy threads on the platform.

However, after taking over Twitter, the billionaire fired the entire communications department. Since then, the company has rarely responded to requests for comment in the months since the layoffs began.

In particular, Mr Musk’s Twitter ownership has been largely defined by layoffs and other cost-cutting measures. Twitter is also currently the subject of several lawsuits over the way the cuts were being implemented, in addition to lawsuits alleging unpaid bills from consulting firms and Twitter office landlords.
