‘Kennedy’ Panel Responds to Twitter Algorithm and Federal Inquiry into Hunter Biden Warming
After buying Twitter for $44 billion, Tesla CEO Elon Musk teased about buying more iconic American companies in a bid to ostensibly restore them — even hinting that he might buy Coca-Cola to get cocaine back in the ingredients of the soft drink.
“Next, I’m going to buy Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in,” Musk quipped in a late-night tweet Wednesday.
A Twitter user responded by sharing a photo of the first bottle sold publicly in 1894 – a product containing 3.5 grams of cocaine. “Bring it back,” added the user.

Musk responded that Coca-Cola full of cocaine “kicks Red Bull’s ass!”
Billy Markus, Dogecoin’s co-creator, who uses the Twitter handle “Shibetoshi Nakamoto” (a nod to Satoshi Nakamoto, the alias used by the creators of Bitcoin), asked Musk, “Can you buy Fox, I want another season of ‘Firefly’ ‘.” Firefly (2002-2003) became a cult classic despite being canceled after just one season.
“A bit of sci-fi that actually contains sci-fi would be great,” Musk replied.

The Tesla CEO even shared what appeared to be a manipulated photo of him on Twitter, promising: “Now I’m going to buy McDonald’s and fix all the ice machines…”
“Listen, I can’t work miracles, okay,” Musk quipped in response to the suggestion.
Twitter accepted Musk’s $44 billion offer to buy the company earlier this week. Musk, who has criticized Twitter for not embracing free speech, hailed the platform as “the digital marketplace” and vowed to increase free speech on the platform.

“Freedom of expression is the foundation of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital marketplace where important issues affecting the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by improving the product with new features, open-sourcing algorithms to increase trust, defeat spam bots, and authenticate everyone.”
“Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the user community to unlock it,” Musk added.

Critics have suggested that calling back content moderation could put users at risk and allow misinformation to spread.
Regarding critics, Musk tweeted, “I hope even my worst critics stay on Twitter because that means freedom of speech.”

John Stith Pemberton invented Coca-Cola in the late 1800s and marketed it as a temperance drink intended as a patent medicine. The name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves, from which cocaine is extracted; and kola nuts, a source of caffeine. Coca-Cola once contained an estimated nine milligrams of cocaine per glass (for comparison, a typical dose of cocaine is 50-75 milligrams). The company removed the cocaine in 1903.
