Businessman Elon Musk visited the former Nazi death camp AuschwitzBirkenau in Poland this Monday (January 22, 2024). Since 2022, the billionaire has been accused of allowing antiSemitic messages on his social media platform X, the former Twitter.

Musk's visit to the most famous Holocaust camp came before his participation in a conference on antiSemitism organized by the EJA (European Jewish Association, in Portuguese) in the Polish city of Krakow.

The SpaceX and Tesla owner visited Birkenau accompanied by his son and conservative American journalist Ben Shapiro, who also attended the conference. Located in southern Poland, the village honors the victims of the Holocaust and preserves prison barracks and the ruins of a gas chamber.

“The external audits we have conducted show that there is the lowest level of antiSemitism on X compared to all other social networks,” he said. The billionaire also stated that freedom of expression continues to be the overall trend of the platform.

“At the end of the day, freedom of expression prevails. If someone says something untrue, especially on our platform, you can respond with a correction,” he concluded.
