After 40 years in the American desert, the King’s private jet has finally sold for $260,000.

The 1962 Lockheed 1329 Jetstar was purchased by Elvis Presley in 1976 for just over $875,000. Priscilla Presley attended the sale of the plane, which was part of the King’s collection of planes and cars.

If the exterior of the small aircraft is damaged, the interior is more of a retro and luxury look of yesteryear.

The aircraft can accommodate up to nine people. It has a powder room with vanity, portholes with small curtains, gold finish and red velvet banquettes.

The jet’s new owner, James E. Webb, is an airplane fanatic who lives in Florida.
