Actress Élyse Marquis was on the set of Enfants de la Télé on Wednesday for the premiere of the 14th season.
She was surprised to be overcome with emotion when images of her were presented on the big screen at the time of the musical Demain matin, Montréal m’attend in the mid-1990s.
When presenter André Robitaille told her that, in his opinion, there was a “before” and an “after” of her participation in this production by Michel Tremblay and François Dompierre, the actress could not hold back her tears. There was even a cut in the edit.
“There was a before and an after, because before that I did more youth stuff that I loved, […] And then suddenly Denise Filiatrault came with this proposal and not only brought me a new contract, but… [ça m’a transformée] in me. It gave me confidence. I thought I would never be able to do this. »
She says she was so touched by these archives because that moment was a defining moment in her life, yes, but also because her daughter Alice Déry is currently working very hard to break into the world of musicals.
Note that Stéphane Rousseau, who is entitled to his headlining special next week, also admitted to bursting into tears during his visit to the Children of TV studios. All details here.
