The 29th edition of the French-language film festival Cinemania opened on Wednesday evening at the Cinéma Impérial with the North American premiere of the French legal drama THE Goldman trial.

The film’s director, Cédric Kahn, traveled to Montreal to attend the screening.
Several Quebec personalities also walked the red carpet, including filmmaker Philippe Falardeau, who will chair the festival jury along with French actress Emmanuelle Béart.
The 29th Cinemania Festival runs until November 12th in several cinemas in Montreal. The program includes more than a hundred films from all parts of the French-speaking world.
