EMILY PRESCOTT: Meghan Markle’s bridal gown designer will debut her new retail collection
The designer behind the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress will launch her new collection next month alongside high street designer Uniqlo.
Clare Waight Keller, who has worked as creative director at luxury brands such as Givenchy and Chloe, has created a capsule collection for the Japanese chain.
With top prices of £109, it will be quite a bit cheaper than Meghan’s wedding dress – which is said to have cost £110,000.
The September release date is just in time for winter, but I don’t see much need for Meghan’s collection of sweaters, trench coats and chunky shoes in sunny California!

Julie’s strip for older women
Julie Montagu, Viscountess of Hinchingbrooke
Already trying to bring historic homes into the 21st century with her YouTube show about British mansions and castles, American-born Julie Montagu, Viscountess of Hinchingbrooke, is now championing a different cause: the representation of the body older women on social media.
Julie, 49, shared a series of bikini photos on Instagram, left: “In a society that glorifies the journeys and bodies of the 20’s and 30’s, we sometimes forget that there’s a whole chapter of life waiting to be to be explored.’ celebrated.’
As if that wasn’t enough, Julie, whose husband Luke will one day be the Earl of Sandwich, also revealed the secret to her toned physique — two decades of dedicated yoga.
It’s not too late to start!
They’ve had complaints about the construction of a new road to their Oxfordshire home, so it’s no surprise that the Beckhams’ neighbors are equally upset at plans to convert the attic space of one of their barns into a home office.
One has contacted the council and accused the Beckhams of using working from home as a ploy to circumvent scheduling rules.
The complaint said: “This is certainly just a backdoor attempt to convert this barn into a dwelling.”
“It’s a barn and shall remain so.”
