The next episode of Reasonable Doubt delves into a sexual assault case amidst the drag queens.
More specifically, Olivier Côté (Frédéric Boudreault), the host of a drag queens show in the Village, believes one of his artists, Pascal Lacharité aka Kelly Idol (Rustam Chartrand), was the victim of a sexual assault. Alice and Fred (Julie Perreault and Marc-André Grondin) will meet this one, who is very reluctant to report him. They take up their investigations nonetheless and receive the unsolicited help of police officer Vincent Dauphinais, who has been patrolling the neighborhood for three years.
The actor Emmanuel Auger is portrayed in the role of Vincent Dauphinais. From his memorable Christian Phaneuf in District 31, the actor becomes a cop here, but retains that disturbing aura. In addition, each of the replicas that will be put in your mouth will make you frown, so far does ethics seem so remote and misogyny very present.

“He plays a somewhat corrupt police officer, a former detective who was sacked for multiple behavioral issues and is now on patrol in the Centre-Sud district, the gay village where the attack took place. He’s his hood, his neighborhood. It’s not because he’s a patrolman that he stops being SD at heart. As the GICCS begins investigating, he says, “Look, this is my hood, you can’t talk to anyone.” »
He adds: “He’s super awkward, he’s cutting edge, he’s not an advocate for ethics, but he’s still pushing the investigation forward. Even if he cannot interfere in this investigation, he is like a moral problem: “Who is this guy who is feeding us information but at the same time has no right to do so? And besides, you can never be sure it’s leggit what he’s doing.” »
