Angry Emmerdale fans slammed Samson Dingle after Friday’s episode after he branded Amelia Spencer “selfish”.
The teenager berated his daughter Esther’s mother after she admitted she didn’t want to examine a lump on her breast over fears she might have cancer.
While Samson (Sam Hall) tried to convince Amelia (Daisy Campbell) to go to the hospital, he insisted that she was “selfish” because “if anything happens to her, Esther will grow up without a mother.”
The harsh statement sparked anger from some fans, especially given how Samson had treated Amelia and her daughter.

Despite Samson’s harsh words, Amelia found the courage to come to her appointment after undergoing tests and a biopsy and was told she had to wait for the results.
Amelia later confided in her ex Noah about her fears of cancer while awaiting the results of her tests.
“You’re not going to die,” he assured Noah, who feared she might have cancer.

Although Samson was responsible, Amelia berated Noah for giving him the money and dumped him.
Fans have been hoping the pair will rekindle their romance, and spoilers for the next week have hinted that Samson will finally see his mistake and seek forgiveness from Amelia.
Lydia gives a defensive Samson both barrels about how he dealt with her, but his father Sam has more sympathy for Samson’s situation when it becomes clear that Amelia’s ordeal sparked the loss of his own mother Alice.
