It was the end of the road for an Emmerdale couple on Tuesday night when Ethan Anderson sensationally dumped his cheating boyfriend Marcus Dean.
Viewers cheered as Ethan got revenge on his ex by angrily throwing his things out of his bedroom window and hitting back at the hunk’s claims that he was “boring”.
It was certainly a sweet revenge for Ethan after he found out Marcus had cheated on him with his ex on Monday’s episode, with many viewers claiming he was trying to “gaslight” his way out of the affair.
Ethan was furious to learn Marcus had slept with his ex just seconds after getting down on one knee to propose to him.
And when the two tried to discuss Marcus’ affair, he accused the lawyer of always looking down on him for “not meeting his standards.”

As an angry Ethan kicked out his ex, he proceeded to throw his stuff, including an expensive tablet, out the window while Nate looked on.

At the beginning of Monday’s episode, Ethan and Marcus were seen on good terms and Ethan made the decision to propose and decided to tell his friends and family before popping the question.
When Ethan returned home, he told Marcus, “I know I didn’t exactly plan this, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less sincere.
“I want you to know how serious I am about us and I know we’ve had a fight recently, but I still love you. Nobody’s ever made me feel like you.
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Look, I haven’t had a chance to buy you anything decent, but I thought that would do for you now.’
Ethan handed Marcus a ring of candy as he got down on one knee and said, “Will you marry me?”
At that moment, the man Marcus had slept with behind Ethan’s back walked down the stairs while buckling his pants and belt.
He said, “Aw, how cute. Literally,’ as Marcus tried to usher him out the front door.
Trying to save himself, Marcus’ affair said: “It wasn’t just last night, we used to be a thing. Don’t you think you should have mentioned that you were dating someone?’
Ethan immediately told Marcus to leave their home before sitting down on the sofa in shock.
Marcus said to him, “Ethan, listen to me. Don’t let something stupid ruin what we have.”
Ethan doubled down on his pleas for Marcus to get away from him and leave the property, but Marcus would not go without a fight and tried to blame Ethan for the affair.
Regarding their jobs, Marcus told Ethan, “You didn’t exactly make it easy for us, did you? I wasn’t able to meet your standards.
“You – you and your fellow lawyers and your fancy words, your big causes and me on our hands and knees fiddling with wires. We come from two different worlds.”
Ethan hit back: “To be honest, what difference does it make? It shouldn’t matter where you’re from when you love someone.”
Marcus tried, “I screwed it up. I’m sorry. Don’t tell me you never screwed up? Oh no, I’m sorry, Mr. Perfect.’
As a final warning, Ethan exclaimed, “I’ve heard enough, it’s over. Just go before I kick you out personally.”
