Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has revealed he’s glad his character is making fans angry.
In Lawrence’s recent story, his character Mackenzie Charity (Emma Atkins) cheats with Chloe (Jessie Elland), who is also having his baby.
But while it has infuriated some fans, confusing the actor with the character by making their attacks on him personal, Lawrence shared that he knows strong opinions and reactions from viewers are a positive thing.

Speaking to Metro, he said: “You have to take the rough with the smooth in things like this and just know that what you’re doing as a character is a good job because it’s getting those reactions from the audience, so I think that’s a good thing.’
He also opened up about his story, admitting he was surprised at how it unfolded after Chloe was pursued by Noah.
Lawrence said, “The ironic thing is that Mackenzie was very involved in helping Noah get through it when he was involved in the stalking, and then he does what he does,” he said.
“So yes, it was surprising, but juicy. I think when we finished the script about sleeping together, we didn’t know it was going to end in pregnancy. This was another bombshell that’s very fun to play with in this way and see how the characters handle the arc of everything.
He stated that while he doesn’t endorse his character’s actions, he enjoys playing him and does exactly what is written in the script, as all actors do.

It comes after it was revealed Sarah Sugden will be hospitalized again in Emmerdale next week after overhearing yet another row between Mackenzie Boyd and Chloe Harris.
The teenager, who has struggled with health issues in the past, will strike fear into the hearts of her loved ones when she starts breathing, leaving Mack and Chloe torn over whether to finalize their one-night stand .
Mack has refused to tell partner Charity about his affair with Chloe which resulted in her getting pregnant, but now Sarah has overheard the couple once again – will she reveal her secret?

In the coming scenes, Mack (Lawrence Robb) attempts to join in Charity’s merry banter, but remains haunted by the secret guilt he bears.
The next day, Mackenzie reveals to Chloe (Jessie Elland) that he will tell Charity (Emma Atkins) about the baby, but neither realize that Sarah has just returned from her bedroom and overheard her from upstairs.
Chloe is stunned to realize Mackenzie isn’t backing down and will tell Charity the truth today, and he encourages her to go, despite her insistence that she has nowhere to go.
While Sarah is still listening upstairs, Chloe remains determined to hold her own and stay put, insisting she won’t be thrown to the wolves by Mackenzie.

Then, just as Mackenzie and Chloe are about to tell Charity their secret, Sarah stumbles down the stairs, gasping for breath.
Charity instructs Mack to call an ambulance while Sarah is hyperventilating, and at the ER, the teen is driven to medical attention.
Mack emotionally holds charity and looks over at Chloe; It seems the couple’s plans to tell the truth are on hold.

Annoyed, Charity confides in Mackenzie, who is concerned about Sarah’s life expectancy given the health issues she’s had in the past.
Chloe stops a doctor walking purposefully towards her and Charity is terrified knowing there is news.
