The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will finally take place on Monday (January 15) after a four-month delay.
The annual celebration of the best television shows of the year takes place six months after the nominations are announced in July.
Although the ceremony was originally scheduled for September, it was postponed due to the strikes by Hollywood writers and actors that brought the industry to a standstill last year.
The series with the most nominations is Succession, whose fourth and final season aired on HBO last year. HBO counterparts The Last of Us and The White Lotus are also heavily nominated, while the final season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ has the most nominations in the comedy categories.

Trevor Noah honors those honored at the Creative Arts Emmys
While those in front of the camera usually take priority over those behind the scenes, the latter are no less important. Ahead of tonight's Emmys ceremony, the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out over the weekend, and comedian Trevor Noah paid tribute to the winners. Creative Arts Emmys honorees include video editors, set designers, production designers, costume designers, casting directors, cinematographers and sound editors.

Jenna Ortega could make history tonight
The 21-year-old Wednesday star already made history as the youngest Latina to receive an Emmy nomination for acting. So if she goes on to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award, Ortega would become the youngest Latina actress Emmy winner ever.
She competes against Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel), Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) and Christina Applegate (Dead to Me).

Will there be a second awards ceremony at the Emmys in September?
There will technically be two 2024 Emmy Awards this year: the postponed 75th Emmy Awards will take place on Monday (January 15) and the 76th Emmy Awards will take place in September. The former awards shows released between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023, while the latter recognizes series and shows released between May 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.

Joining presenter Anthony Anderson on stage to present the awards is a long list of stars including: Jason Bateman, Quinta Brunson, Stephen Colbert, Dame Joan Collins, Jon Cryer, Charlie Day, Jodie Foster, Marla Gibbs, Brett Goldstein, Jon Hamm, Taraji P. Henson, Glenn Howerton and Ken Jeong.
Rob McElhenney, Joel McHale, Jenna Ortega, Pedro Pascal, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Holland Taylor, Juno Temple, Taylor Tomlinson and Hannah Waddingham will also present.

The Emmys often come before the Golden Globes, but this year the order is reversed due to the postponed Emmy Awards. Much like the Golden Globes act as a predictor for the Oscars, I think the same will be the case with the Emmys.

Succession's brutal finale cements the Shakespearean tragedy as one of this century's greatest works of art
Whether you're a paying member of the Waystar Royco fan club or have never seen an episode of Succession in your life, you'll surely be aware that this is the show to beat at this year's Emmys .
With its fourth and final season coming to an appropriately dramatic end last summer, the Jesse Armstrong-directed drama is nominated for 27 Emmy awards, with several actors in the running for the same award.
