MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — The Empire State Building was eagle-colored on Sunday after Philadelphia’s NFC championship win — sending Twitter into a complete frenzy.
A photo was posted to the Empire State Building’s Twitter account Sunday with the caption “Fly Eagles Fly,” which read that the tower lights were green and white to honor the Eagles’ victory.
The New York Giants took to Twitter and said they were just “here for the comments.”
Even the New York City Sanitation Department had something to say
The New York City Buildings official report expressed disappointment
Others also took to Twitter to express their outrage
The Empire State Building then lit up for the Kansas City Chiefs after their AFC Championship win, saying that lighting up the Eagles’ green and white “hurt us more than they did.”
