A 6yearold boy has had his heart broken after staff at Britain’s Bristol Airport laughed “in his face”. It turns out that the flight to Disneyland, California (USA) for the child, accompanied by his parents, was canceled.
According to British newspaper The Mirror, Oliver’s father, Mike Cole, said the boy started crying. The family arrived at the airport around 8.30pm on Sunday (29th) but were shocked to learn the flight had been canceled after a twohour delay.
About 100 people were escorted out of the airport, according to Cole, 50. “Advertisements at the airport showed the flight was still going albeit delayed and about 20 minutes before take off the gate number appeared, there was a huge queue but no representatives just a sign saying ‘Flight cancelled ‘”, he said .
He and his wife Anna, 42, have spent the last two years saving up for their dream trip. Amid the expectations, Oliver and his 15yearold sister have created their own calendar to enjoy each day of their holiday.
According to Cole, airport staff laughed as little Oliver broke down in tears, complaining that his holiday had been spoiled. Additionally, the father revealed that one of the attendants was hostile, calling the boy “disgusting.”
With no new flight plans, Cole said the family canceled the plans. Now he’s looking forward to taking his kids to Disney over the upcoming school holidays.
