Children and parents gathered on the 1stD Avenue in Charlesbourg to see allegorical floats and Christmas characters on the occasion of the 22nde Toy parade.

The dancers and acrobats marched from the corner of 52nd Street to Place Jean-Béliveau at the foot of the Videotron Center.

Around fifteen floats, along with almost 330 dancers and extras, amazed the little ones.

Several families Le Journal met were having their first experience with the parade.
“It’s just as much fun for the little ones as it is for the adults,” says Dominique, who accompanied her grandson Alexis.

“We have no choice but to wait [à Noël]» says Jean-François, who took part in the parade on the corner of 52nd Street.

For her part, Annie Maltais has lost count of the number of times she has attended a toy parade with her son Alexandre.
“I love everything and see it through my son’s eyes!” she explains.

The parade organized by Promutuel is also an opportunity to collect toys together with the Joujouthèque Basse-Ville. These are distributed to children of needy families in the Quebec metropolitan area.
