Two police officers were taken to hospital after they were attacked by a young couple in Evansville, US, early Sunday morning.
According to a police report, Evansville police officers responded to a report of a domestic battery on Dec. 17.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people, an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, who police say are half-siblings who are in a romantic relationship.
Initial reports said the man beat the woman before police arrived.
Officers attempted to arrest the man, but police said he attacked the officers. The police report said the man repeatedly “hit and abused officers while physically resisting arrest.”
The woman then joined her half-brother and her boyfriend to help him.
According to the police report, she kicked and injured two officers. Officers said the woman was drunk at the time of the incident.
At one point, the male suspect can be seen violently kicking a police officer, who then has difficulty getting up.
Police said an officer was taken to the hospital with a fractured eye socket, loss of vision in one eye and swelling behind the eye socket.
