It is difficult for the Epic Games Store to compete with Steam, but the store’s authors create various promotions for developers and publishers to encourage them to publish their games on the EGS. Today two new programs were added to the store: Epic First Run and Now on Epic.
Here’s what we know
“The Epic First Run program allows you to publish games that are not yet available on other stores on PC. In the first six months, the developer receives 100% of the game’s profits, then 88%. After six months, no one does it anymore.” It is not forbidden to place the game in other stores. Epic Games also promises that these games will be placed on the main page, in collections and in author articles. To for this program, you must read all the rules at this link.
“Now in Epic” is the second program for those who have already published their games on other stores, but not on EGS. This program also allows you to receive 100% of profits for the first 6 months, then 88% thereafter. However, to participate you must place your three games on the Epic Games Store. If you only have one or two games you can also participate in the program, but they must all be available on the EGS. Further information about the program can be found here.
