(ANSA) — ISTANBUL, June 09 — “We will never allow a corridor for terrorism to form on our border.” This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as reported by state television TRT, in relation to the announced military operation in Ankara against Kurdish forces in northern Syria. At a military ceremony, Erdogan reiterated that Turkey wants to “protect the border with a 30km deep security strip” and urged Ankara’s “allies” to “respect our legitimate concerns”. (HAND).
