In 1982, Esther Góes and Joana Fomm immortalized Adriana and Natália in the drama Elas por Elas, shown on Globo. In 2023, 41 years after its premiere, the remake of the soap opera released this Monday (25) opens the story in a reinterpretation that may feature the protagonists of the first version.

The authors of the series, Thereza Falcão and Alessandro Marson, dream of their special participation in the new scenes. The information comes from journalist Anna Luiza Santiago from the newspaper O Globo.

The addition of Esther and Joana to the remake even marks Fomm’s return to Globo screens. The last soap opera in which the actress starred was in Malhação, in the 2016 version. Currently, the Minas Gerais native is no longer on television after a career of more than 60 years. The actress’s last role was in 2019, when she played Armenia in the series República do Peru on TV Brasil. And in the same year she made brief appearances in the series Sob Pressão on Globo, and in 2023 the veteran played Death in the film Fervo.

Góes didn’t stick with the term “world actress” either. His last work on Globo was in the 1995 soap opera Explode Coração and in the miniseries Engraçadinha. In 2005, the actress signed with Record and filmed several works for the channel, including the soap operas Prova de Amor, Amor e Intrigas, Bela a Feia and Belaventura. His most recent role was Genesis in 2021.

In the remake, Esther’s character Adriana is played by Thalita Carauta. The role of Joana Fomm, Natália, is in the hands of Mariana Santos. In addition, the late Eva Wilma, Aracy Balabanian, Sandra Bréa, Maria Helena Dias and Mila Moreira also starred in the plot.

In addition to Thalita and Mariana, the main roles in the new summer include the actresses Deborah Secco, Karine Teles, Isabel Teixeira, Késia and Maria Clara Spinelli.

Although it is a remake, the soap opera will feature an entirely new story starting from Chapter 100. The authors develop a plot about Adriana and Helena that was censored by the dictatorship in 1982.
