Directed and written by Chloé Zhao, the film was met with divided opinion, with Eternals becoming Marvel Studios’ worst film in peer review ratings out of all 14 years in the cinematographic universe.

There’s still no news on a possible sequel to the film, but something that got fans curious about an eventual impact within the MCU is the fact that the Celestial Tiamut was petrified in Earth’s ocean.

The gigantic character is killed by Sersi at the end of the film, but since then little has been said about this marbled creature that now exists in our ocean, something that is finally about to be explored.

According to the journalist Daniel RichtmannMuch of the storyline of Captain America: New World Order, which hits theaters in 2024, will explore the aftermath of the end of Eternals.

According to the source, the Celestial is discovered to contain Adamantium, a strong metal that can collide with Vibranium. This will result in multiple nations attempting to claim Tiamut’s body to control the adamantium, leading to an international conflict.
