(Gardena) ET's unforgettable head, Big Lebowski's iconic bathrobe and Princess Diana's engagement blouse will go up for sale in the United States next weekend as part of an auction dedicated to “Hollywood legends.”

“Hollywood Legends” takes place from Thursday to Sunday in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and on Monday thousands of iconic objects will be introduced to the press.
“These objects are now viewed as a category of assets rather than just memories or a moment in our lives,” Martin Nolan, managing director of auction house Julien's Auctions, told AFP.
“It's a lot more fun than stocks or bonds or a lot of other things you have in your investment portfolio,” he pointed out.
These “assets” include a model of the head of the alien ET, Steven Spielberg's cult film, the price of which, according to Martin Nolan, could reach a million US dollars.
For the Coen brothers' cult film “The Big Lebowski,” the bathrobe worn by the character played by Jeff Bridges is said to cost $50,000.
The blouse Princess Diana wore in her 1981 engagement photo is also up for sale and organizers estimate it could fetch up to $100,000.
Other items for sale include a jacket worn by Audrey Hepburn in Charade (1963) and the famous computer belonging to Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker's character in Sex and the City.
