The series follows Longoria's character Gala, described as an “empty-nester New Yorker,” whose life is turned upside down when her husband embroils the family in financial improprieties and she is forced to live alongside her aging mother (Carmen Maura ) and flee the city from college-aged daughter (Victoria Bazúa).'
After Gala's husband disappears and she has to flee with her family, they return to the same wine town in Spain that her mother swore never to return to 50 years ago.
The series is based on Sandra Barneda's bestselling novel of the same name, written by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira and Paula Fernández and directed by Iris Prize winner Carlos Sedes.
