During her time in Italy, Eva performed at the Taormina Film Festival, which ran from June 26th to July 2nd.
Eva currently has several film projects in the works, most recently in the comedy Unplugging alongside Matt Walsh and Lea Thompson.

In December 2017, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child, and in June 2018, they welcomed their first child, who they named Santiago Enrique Bastón.
Santiago is the first child for Eva but the fifth for José, who was previously married to Mexican actress Natalia Esperon.
When asked in an interview in 2019 what the secret of their happy marriage is, Eva explained that she and her husband respect each other and support each other’s goals and dreams.
