The specialist for real crimeVictoria Charlton, continues in the second seasonEvaporatesthe investigation of three cases of enforced disappearances, mysterious to say the least, with the sole aim of giving the families answers.
In the new version that will be installed on Vrai Mardi, Victoria Charlton has decided to investigate the disappearance of Nathalie Champigny, with which she had dealt with – perhaps not sufficiently to her liking – with an open eye in the first volume of her successful series Allez, by Nathalie Godbout, who disappeared shortly after a lover's quarrel, and by Linda Normandin, who publicly denounced the CSST (now CNESST).

“In the case of Nathalie Champigny, we are pretty sure of the perpetrator… He was even found guilty of lying to the police… This is a big deal. I wanted us to give it our all. “Nathalie Godbout, it touched me because her children are around my age and it's a strange story: she had a fight with her boyfriend and disappeared immediately afterwards,” said the YouTuber.
“Linda Normandin denounced the CSST when she disappeared and I wondered if that had something to do with it. “She also had drug addiction problems and even her missing person report said she could be homeless somewhere,” she described.

When passion becomes a job
For eight years, Victoria Charlton has been providing true crime fans with one video per week on her YouTube channel. The young woman was very invested in her research – she even completed a private detective course to perfect her knowledge in this field – and admitted in an interview that she had experienced certain moments of shortness of breath related to her job.

“I have been making one video a week since 2016. […] It is certain that it will become a job even if we make a living from our passion…” she said.
Affected by the gravity of certain stories and the pace that must be maintained to captivate listeners, Victoria has managed to find a balance in her various book or podcast projects but also focus on the good and the answers focus on who their videos could bring to the relatives of the victims.

“I prefer cases that particularly concern me. I talk more to families, I do more interviews. “It made me seem to rediscover my passion by dedicating myself to the families of the victims,” she added, emphasizing that she felt more comfortable and adventurous with the various investigative techniques used this season.
“We must remember that this is not a story we tell for fun. They are real victims. We must constantly keep it in mind, because it is certain that when we do so much we forget it a little,” the author continued.
Remember that the broadcast of the first season made it possible to obtain new and even very good information about the disappearance of Francis Albert Cloutier.
Victoria Charlton is currently working on the second volume of her novel “The Mackenzie Investigations” as well as two television projects. She should eventually move on to writing the fourth volume of Keep Your Eye Open and will present Road Trip Fatal on Vrai this spring.
“Right now I'm like on my X. Everything I want to do is coming true. I'm very lucky for that,” she admitted, her voice slightly giddy, not daring to be too far ahead of other projects that could come true.
The second season of Evaporated: Victoria Charlton Investigation ends this Tuesday on True.
