In Stories, a follower asked him how he discovered the disease. Then he replied, “I thought this question was important. That’s why I decided to stop and answer it because what happened to me can happen to many people, which is the wrong diagnosis.”
He followed up the report in a video describing the symptoms: “I started having episodes of diarrhea. I went to the toilet 15, 20, 30 times a day. At some moments I had diarrhea and blood. I started losing weight. In my case.” “I felt a burning sensation in the lower part of my stomach.”
Evaristo says the symptoms worsened at night and he had to sleep sitting up. After losing strength, the journalist went to the doctor, who was then diagnosed with gastritis.
“For a year he treated me as if I had gastritis. I told him: 'Doctor, every time I take tablets for gastritis, my stomach pain increases, not at the level of my stomach, but further down'. By then, “In 2020, he decided to do some research and came up with a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease. My illness is moderate. And my goal now is to get her into remission to avoid episodes like this, urinary sepsis,” he concluded.
