The actor is best known for his seminal role as the lead in the comedy Everybody Hates Chris Tyler James Williams secured his first Golden Globe tonight.
Williams won Best Supporting Actor Television for his acclaimed work on the comedy series. Abbott Elementary School, from ABC. It is the actor’s first nomination and win.
Tyler James Williams has always been known for living the young version of Chris Rock Everyone hates Chris. Years later, he plays a public school teacher in Quinta Brunson’s acclaimed comedy, the first season of which is available in the Star+ catalogue.
As is usual with the Golden Globes, the category “Best Supporting Actor on Television” brings together all genres and formats (comedy, drama and miniseries). Williams grabbed the win over Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), Henry Winkler (Barry), John Turturro (Break) and John Lithgow (The Old Man).
