To find out everything about this ultimate remake of these iconic games, here's a quick overview.
GTA The Trilogy: How to play it for free?
© Rockstar / Netflix
To access the three games for free (or at least at no additional cost) (unlimited access), all you need is a Netflix account. If yes, go to your smartphone or tablet store (Apple Store/Google Store) and simply search for “GTA Netflix”. The three games will therefore be available for free.
All you have to do is install it and then start it. Once finished, a small window will appear asking you to sign in with your Netflix account. When this is done, it will be possible to play GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas at no additional cost and without time restrictions.
I don't have Netflix, can I play games?
If you don't have a Netflix subscription or your subscription has expired, there is a solution. In fact, all three games are available individually. You then have to pay 19.99 euros per title, which means around 59.97 euros for the three games. Once in your possession, they remain your property indefinitely and can also be played without a time limit.

What weight do mobile games carry?
Grand Theft Auto III requires a single 1.73 GB download to play and access the entire game, its missions and its audio content.
Allow about 2.80 GB to download the game for GTA Vice City. When you start it for the first time, around 4 GB of additional data must be downloaded in order to own the entire game and be able to embark on the adventure.
Finally, for GTA San Andreas you can expect an initial download of around 2.83 GB, then a second download of 6.4 GB when you start your game for the first time. Once this is done, the adventure can begin with CJ and the Grove Street Family.
What does GTA The Trilogy look like on mobile devices?
Overall, the porting was quite successful. The many errors that were present when the remaster was released on PC and consoles in November 2021 have disappeared. Of course, the quality doesn't come close to the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC versions. However, in mobile versions the rendering is rather clean and you quickly get caught up in the game. The main shortcomings lie in the not very well managed display distance and in a “blur” filter installed on the screen at high speeds that are expected in a car or motorcycle.
Compatible controllers?
Of course, it is possible to play GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition using the tactile buttons offered when you first launch the game (with several possible configurations). But you can also connect an Xbox or PS5 controller and install your smartphone on suitable mobile controllers (like Backbone) for a better gaming experience.
