Evolution is inevitable, but extinction is optional in Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X

In HOUSE OF In January, these major storylines and more come to a head in the Krakoan Age finale: Gerry Duggan and Lucas Werneck Fall of House X and Kieron Gillen and RB Silva RISE OF POWER OF X..

This all-new pair of interconnected series, created by some of the X-Men world’s most important builders, caps off over four years of revolutionary mutant history and prepares the X-Men for their next great evolution! The saga begins with two pivotal battles as a classic cast of iconic X-Men fight their long-awaited showdown with Orchis, while in the future a small group of surviving X-Men struggle with their stolen destiny.

Krakoa, the living island nation that welcomes, protects, and advances mutants, has fallen! Now the scattered X-Men recover and regroup in the FALL OF X era, preparing for the battle to restore hope! It will be a war across space and time, fought on two fronts: the present in FALL OF THE HOUSE OF X and the not-too-distant and distant future in RISE OF THE POWERS OF The opening issues will feature two X-Men squads.

In writing the final chapter of Krakoa, Gillen said: “I try not to let the responsibility of this sink in – the Krakoan Age is, above all, a story. Stories are about their structure – the potential of the beginning, the evolving richness of the middle, and (relevantly) the elegance and/or sledgehammer in the face of resolution. I just got into comics to do good work. I need this to be good and I think this is it.”

Today, fans can get their first look at the never-before-seen artwork from FALL OF THE HOUSE OF X #1 and RISE OF THE POWERS OF X #1. The new preview shows current and future X-Men teams fighting Nimrod and Omega Sentinel and takes a look at dramatic moments such as the trial of Cyclops, Professor’s desperate cry for help and their endgame.
