Fausto Silva welcomed reporter Fabíola Reipert at home for the first interview after the heart transplant performed at the end of August. An excerpt of the conversation was shown during the “General Balance” this Friday (6).
The presenter revealed that he “already knew” that one day he would have to “fall into the hands” of cardiologist Fábio Antônio Gaiotto for heart surgery. “I knew it would happen, but I approached it with a larger strategy from Professor Fernando Bacal.” [também cardiologista] until the right time comes for this operation.

Faustão also revealed that he decided to give his first interview to Record not only because of his “connections” with Fabíola, but also because of a “special affection” for the station. The communicator is the daughter of Guilherme Amaral, also a journalist, who died in 2019 and was friends with Fausto Silva.
“The truth is: I have always had a special affection for Record. I started there in 1969 and I had wonderful years of my life at Record, so much so that I was invited to the 70th birthday party,” he emphasized the presenter, who also mentioned other professionals with whom he worked at the station.
Faustão’s full interview with Fabíola Reipert will be shown in “Domingo Espetacular”, a program that will air on Sunday (8) from 7:45 p.m. In the recording, the presenter goes into more detail about the transplant experience, revealing that he was “afraid of the worst” when he received the news that he would need the transplant.
