Rob Dyrdek has lived a life many could only dream of.
He was a pro skateboarder who landed a string of shows on MTV — like Ridiculousness and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory — that won over legions of fans.
Now the 48-year-old is a multi-millionaire, entrepreneur and wellness guru who gets up at 5am and meditates in a $15,000 dome with a 30-pound crystal by his side.
He eats his last meal of the day at 5:30 p.m. and has two children with his 31-year-old wife Bryiana, who recently announced her diagnosis of autism.
In an exclusive interview with , Dyrdek revealed the secrets of his success and how he got into the wellness world “by accident”.

He said one of the first things to do is redefine the time you devote to yourself on any given day.
“If you just start looking, ‘Okay, wow, I’m really making time,’ then look at each and every one of your days and how do you feel as you go through each hour? What is your energy level? Is it high energy or low energy?’ said the father-of-two, who runs the Dyrdek Machine — a multimillion-dollar creative studio.
“And when you spend an hour doing something that’s low on energy, you want to get that out of your life and either figure out how to energetically neutralize it or make it feel better or whatever it is.”
“So if you’re just now starting to view your life in terms of time and energy, you’re starting to be informed, ‘If I got up earlier, I could do the things I want to do.’
Dyrdek said this philosophy gave him a “beautiful, balanced life” that he designed and was able to explain how he spent the hours of his day.
“I still shoot 336 episodes a year and 50 podcasts a year and manage my business portfolio.” But I do it all with 22 percent of my time, which is a normal person’s nine-to-five job, which is a 40-hour week,” he said.
“I work about 40 hours a week to create a vision for billion-dollar software and a philosophy, shoot 336 episodes of shows and started all these companies because I’m so good at managing time.”
“And then I enjoy every single one of those hours in those 40 hours, because if there’s a feeling of low energy at that meeting or during that time, I can immediately assess it and ask, ‘What do I have to do here?'”

This intention to divide his life into productive hours also allows him to be a “present” father to his children.
“I have been with her throughout her development and have been with her at all times, also helping to shape her and playing an important role in creating the core values that I and our family have, and I’ve done so on purpose because I’m close to her all the time,” Dyrdek told .
“I’ll go, I dropped them off at school and then I’ll call back and pick them up.” I’ll be there for swimming lessons. It’s me.’
Another important pillar of Dyrdek’s life is caring for his spirit when it is not active.
“It’s not about what your mind is doing when you work.” “It’s easy to shut yourself in,” he said.
“It’s what your mind does when you sit and do nothing, your mind vacillates, and you want your mind to either be in the present and use it purposefully or create the future.” You want to always be active and be actively present or actively think about the future.
“One never wants to worry about the future or leave the past behind and dwell in the past.” And if you’re constantly worrying about the future while you’re with your family or thinking about things you’ve done, then you’re in that difficult position and you can’t even be there for them.

“And then when you don’t take care of yourself and look at how I get up at 5 every day, eat clean and don’t drink, take supplements, meditate, exercise my brain and exercise, all of which just makes me feel better about who I am.”
‘[It] It makes me feel healthier, more powerful and… [I] Make better choices so I can manage my emotions at a higher level.
His daily ritual includes meditating in a $15,000 machine called a somadome.
“Every day I do a 20-minute meditation, a 10-minute brain workout routine, and 60 minutes at the gym to start my day,” Dyrdek told Haute Living in 2021.
He is also a strong believer in the energy crystals can bring and has a £30 crystal in his in-house meditation sanctuary.
Dyrdek also eats his last meal of the day at 5:30 p.m. to give the food time to process and digest before going to sleep.
