A 27-year-old mother became a surrogate for the second time after falling in love with the feeling of pregnancy and has now vowed to help other parents have children.
After Savannah Morrell of Maryland gave birth to her own son, Lando, now 2, she felt an overwhelming desire to give birth again and decided to make her uterus available to help those without one of their own could have children.
Because her pregnancy was uneventful, she felt it was her “calling” to give someone else a child, so she became a surrogate mother.
After seeing the expression on the faces of the first family she was a surrogate for, she pushed herself to become pregnant a third time to bring joy to another set of wonderful parents.

After her own uncomplicated pregnancy, she felt it was her “calling” to give someone else a child and became a surrogate mother (pictured during her second surrogacy pregnancy).
She gave birth to her first surrogate child in October last year and is currently pregnant with her second surrogate child, due in June 2024.
She said: “I absolutely enjoyed the whole experience of being pregnant with my son.”
“It’s so amazing to see your belly grow and feel the baby move inside you.” It’s such an incredible feeling when you feel this little human making little movements.
“I love the thrill of seeing my body change every month, hearing their heartbeat with every scan and seeing what they look like every time.”
She raved about the feeling of pregnancy and noted that she couldn’t wait to get pregnant again.
Savannah added: “I fell in love with everything about it and the pregnancy went smoothly.” I just knew I couldn’t wait to do it again.
“Suddenly I felt like it was my calling to be able to give a baby to someone else who was struggling.”
Savannah had heard about surrogacy but admitted she had never seriously considered it until she met a woman who was having trouble having a child.

At one of her appointments during her pregnancy with Lando, she met a woman who had been trying to have a child for 15 years.
Savannah recalled how her heart broke as she heard this stranger complain about her struggles, adding that she could see the pain in her eyes as she fought back tears.
The 27-year-old noted that after her baby was born, she realized she could help those struggling to conceive.
Three months after the birth, she started looking for a surrogate mother and found an agency. Within six months of applying, she was matched with her first parents.
Savannah says she was so excited to start the trip as soon as she was matched with the couple.
Savannah and her supportive husband David, 41, underwent several scans and tests ahead of her transfer day.
However, when she found out she was pregnant, Savannah was overjoyed and loved sharing every milestone with the couple she wanted to have a child with.
She said: “I knew I was carrying a baby that wasn’t mine, so it was never strange or difficult.”

Savannah (shown during her first surrogacy) noted that the look on the parents’ faces when they saw their child for the first time made it all worth it
“The excitement the couple expressed throughout their pregnancy and how much they couldn’t wait to meet her was very special and made me so excited for them too.”
“I was so glad I could do that for her. “We’ve also built such a great relationship between all of us.”
Savannah noted that the look on the parents’ faces when they saw their child for the first time made it all worth it.
She explained: “I gave birth to her baby in October last year. One of the fathers actually watched her come out.
“They both sobbed when they saw her.” There was an overwhelming rush of emotion in the room.
“Seeing them smile, cry, hold her little hands and have skin to skin with her was better than I could have ever imagined.”
“I always thought they would finally experience what my husband and I were able to experience when we had our son.”

“The first time was so great that I knew I wanted to do it again.” “I couldn’t have done it without my husband’s unwavering support,” she said
After her first surrogacy journey, Savannah decided she wanted to do it again.
In January, she was assigned the second group of intended parents.
After giving birth to her own son two years ago and welcoming her first surrogate baby in October, Savannah is thrilled to be pregnant for the third time and welcoming her second surrogate baby into the world in June 2024.
Savannah said, “The first time went so great that I knew I wanted to do it again.” I couldn’t have done it without my husband’s tireless support.
“He was with me every step of the way. Even when I first told him that I wanted to be a surrogate, he never questioned it, he just always had my back and supported me.
“My parents also supported us a lot. As a surrogate, it is so important to have a strong system of love and support around you.
“David even had to undergo blood tests and psychiatric evaluations so that I could do this.”
She explained that her second surrogacy pregnancy flew by and she had no complications (which was evident in her first surrogacy).

She explained that her second surrogate pregnancy went by quickly and she had no complications.
“My second surrogate pregnancy has been just as wonderful so far. I couldn’t have chosen better fathers for these trips. “They’re all great,” she said.
And the 27-year-old revealed that the families she helped on her journey welcomed her with open arms.
Savannah explained, “I feel like I’ve gained new families through these trips.” They are now part of my family, and my family is part of their families. Since my first surrogacy journey, I have been speaking to the family regularly via FaceTime.
“They constantly send me pictures and updates, and I plan to have the same relationship with the second family as well. “It’s a beautiful thing.”
