As we reveal, Helen Skelton is hoping to make half a million pounds by selling the marital home she lovingly renovated with her estranged husband Richie Myler for £1.8million.
The television personality has put the former family home in Yorkshire on the market to make a fresh start after her nine-year marriage to rugby star Richie broke up earlier this year.
The sprawling property consists of two interconnected houses with eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, four reception rooms, an outbuilding and a heated outdoor pool.
The former couple spent a combined £1.1million buying the two adjoining properties in an exclusive gated community.

After spending an estimated £250,000 on making the two links and extensive refurbishments, Helen put the property on the market for £1.8million, resulting in a profit of around £500,000.
The spacious home sits on 5 acres with landscaped south facing gardens and has a four car garage.
A source told Web: “The properties are in both Helen’s and Richie’s names so obviously they need to figure out what to do with the money they make from the sale.”
“But it’s another sign that Helen is moving on with her life, and the fact that she’s able to turn a significant profit is a bit of a bonus at this difficult time.” A lot of love and thought went into the design of this home, and I’m sure it will be difficult for them to sell it.
“It’s been a tough time for Helen, but she’s moving on with her life, leaving marriage behind and wanting to make a fresh start.”
A website announcing the sale of the house describes it as “an absolute gem of a property” that perfectly blends historical elements with modern finishes.
It adds: ‘[They] “These are two interconnected properties that are being offered for sale together for the first time ever.”

Earlier this week, Helen announced she was quitting BBC Radio 5 Live to spend more time with her children.
Speaking to 5 Live colleague Steve Crossman, Helen said in a broken voice, ‘I’m not feeling well, but I have to.’ The juggling is real.’
The star, who split from Richie last year, threw a thinly veiled dig at her ex, adding that she wanted to be there at her weekend sporting events to see her kids, telling listeners: “There’s an eight-year-old with me part of it.’ a part-time job that needs me’.

Since their marriage ended, Richie has had a child with new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, 32, daughter of Leeds Rhinos President Andrew.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Helen and Richie married in 2013 and moved into their Yorkshire estate together seven years later.
As Helen moves on with her life, it also turns out that she has returned to the dating scene.
A source said, “Helen’s family and friends encouraged her to get back out there and she was excited to get back on the dating scene, but she’s had some ups and downs and felt guilty.” She worries about who she is to allow into her life and is afraid of being judged for her decisions.

“There have also been a few people who have commented that she didn’t try hard enough to make things work out with Richie and that got her thinking about her marriage and what went wrong.”
“At the end of the day she knows she tried everything she could and once that trust was broken there was just no turning back. But dating again has created some unexpected feelings that she’s struggled with for a long time.”
This comes after a source revealed, “Having broken their trust, she is far from ready for a full-on, long-term romance.”
“But she no longer closes herself off to anything. “She’s open to new adventures in every way and is committed to saying ‘yes’ to more things that inspire her.”
It was reported this month that Helen has allegedly come under fire from BBC bosses for clogging brands during her stint on the Morning Live TV show.
The star flouted the broadcaster’s strict guidelines by tagging the clothing, jewelry and cake maker brands on her Instagram posts.
The guidelines state that “no on-air talent should endorse any product, goods, services or clothing they use.”
Funded by the license fee, the BBC does not allow advertising or product placement on its television and radio programs or websites.
Helen has since removed the tags and has not received payment for naming the brands on her social media channel.
